Antique Threaded Salamander/Lizard Vase

$64.99

Description I have had this Vase appraised, it appraised for $425 and is considered rare. According to the appraiser it was made in 1880-1900.

Each side features a high relief embossed lizard (or salamander) in a fluted lily-shaped horn edged with teeny glass beads. Narrow horizontal lines circle the horn. The flared base is possibly art nouveau styling. 11-1/2" H x 5-1/4" wide (neck). No hallmark. A small vertical crack mars the circular base of the horn. Otherwise, this unusual piece appears intact and is a great collectible at a fantastic price. I have priced it according to the description regarding the tiny internal crack. It is difficult to see and does not affect the integrity of the piece. I tried ver hard to get a pic of the small crack but I could not get it to show.
