Rare Fostoria Ebony Rearing Horse
$400.00
This is black milk glass although some may call it black amethyst. Fostoria primarily made these horses in crystal & silver mist ca. 1939-1943 but in 1980 tried making the black glass ones. The black glass would not come out of the molds well without breaking so they abandoned the project. The few that did survive were sold in their outlet stores. I have never seen another of these in all my travels, so I believe they are very scarce. Standing approx 7 1/2" tall & weighing almost 2 pounds, this is a gorgeous hunk of glass! It is in excellent condition.......no chips or cracks, although there may be a straw mark or two which is common in this type of glassware. Don't miss out on your chance to add this to your collection!
